Roy Colsey Biography
Roy Colsey is one of the most popular and richest Lacrosse Player who was born on July 29, 1973 in Yorktown Heights, New York, United States. Colsey played for the National Lacrosse League (NLL), for nine seasons before he joined the MLL. Colsey played for the New York Saints and Rochester Knighthawks as well as the New Jersey / Anaheim Storm, New Jersey Bandits, and Buffalo Bandits. Colsey, after a two year break, returned briefly to the NLL in 2007 with the expansion New York Titans.
Colsey was a Barrage player throughout his MLL career. He holds many franchise records including goals, points, and two-pointers. Roy was the Barrage’s MLL champion in 2006 and 2007. He was named to the 2006 Men’s U.S. National Lacrosse Team.
Colsey is currently the head coach of Ridgefield High School’s varsity lacrosse team. He helped the school win its first ever FCIAC Championship in Lacrosse as well as the second State Championship. Colsey is also the founder and chief coach of Team Superstar. He is currently a teacher of physical education at Robert E. Bell Middle School, Chappaqua, New York. He has been teaching since 2003 and has coached extensively.
